Principal Message
Greetings, John Tyler Family & Friends,
I am excited to join the John Tyler Family and serve as your Principal. My extensive background in education began as a classroom teacher. As a teacher and parent, I understand the importance of family engagement, an engaging curriculum, caring teachers and motivated students. As an educator and administrator, I am confident that students will continue to be academically challenged and successful.
We will:
1. Put our students first by providing student-centered activities and instruction on a daily basis.
2. Encourage and support our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and host parent workshops to increase parent involvement.
3. Motivate our community to participate in our school community by having a presence in the community, on social media, and host outreach programs to welcome our community members.
We will do these things because your child is the "Eye of the Tiger"!
Sincerely,
Heidi M. Lewis, EdS.
Principal
